The Art Gallery of South Australia in partnership with BHP Billiton and supported by the Government of South Australia invite you to share the launch of TARNANTHI | Festival of Contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art.
Kicking off on the front steps of the Art Gallery of South Australia on North Terrace on Thursday 8 October from 5:30pm, TARNANTHI, the most significant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Festival ever seen in South Australia, commences with a ceremonial welcome for artists and visitors alike.
With entertainment from 5:30pm, the Art Gallery of South Australia opens its doors from 6-9pm and invites audiences to be among the first to see this extraordinary Festival. Presenting new works of art from contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists from across Australia, TARNANTHI’s launch is an event not to be missed.
Come for the opening ceremony, or join us after dinner with friends, for an evening of music and art with visiting artists from across Australia until 9pm.
This is a public event and everyone is welcome.
